Morane Atoll (detail)
Equipment
The team will attempt to operate two stations for as long as possible, around the clock. Their main goal is to allow as many unique stations as possible, from virtually all areas of the world, to log these two very remote islands and IOTA references. To achieve the above, the team has studied in-depth the propagation forecast for all regions of the world, and will make appropriate changes based on daily observations.
Cezar and Adrian will operate operate CW and SSB, on bands from 40 to 10 m, concentrating on the bands that will exhibit the best propagation conditions within specific time windows for each region. They will maintain one station on 20 m as long as the propagation will permit, in order to maximize the number of unique stations logged.
Team members with bring with them the following components:
All radio components will be packed in hard cases, protected inside dry-bags and sealed drums. We are making special enclosures, sealed with epoxy, for the generators.
